Fall Shopping

I was well aware of all the cute fall stuff at Old Navy, thanks to the blogosphere. I "needed" to make my way over there. I like to try clothes on.

Old Navy always has cute things for the kids, but for me, it's hit or miss.

Shopping with Carson lately is great. He's going through a phase where fitting rooms aren't his thing and he lets out high pitched screeches. While trying on clothes, I'm tossing crackers, toys and a sippy cups his way in my non-successful efforts to not bust the eardrums of every person nearby. Super fun.

So, I had to take advantage of Joe being off on Sunday's now. I shopped alone. Nice, huh?

I don't normally like the v-neck tees from ON because of how short they are. I really liked the grey vintage stripes, so I went ahead and tried one on. Surprisingly, it was long and fit really well, so I grabbed a couple more. For the price, I won't be devastated if they shrink up but I'm going to try to remember not to dry them every time.

This denim jacket fits really nice. I was excited to find it. I've tried quite a few on and have never really found one I like. It's nice and fitted and doesn't feel super stiff.

I've never worn ON jeans. The internet told me they were "Mom jeans", so I steered clear, I don't know if they got a new style or what but these black skinnies fit really cute and feel nice on. They are the "Rockstar" style. They're stretchy so I guess instead of jeans, they're considered jeggings.

The pajamas I wanted for the kids were sold out in store so I had to place an online order. Then I decideed I needed to find one or two more items to hit the free shipping price. Browsing to add "a couple more" is dangerous, y'all...

I got both Finley and Carson these pajamas. I'm going to have them embroidered for Christmas. They've never matched so this kind of excites me.

I tried this flannel on in store but needed a smaller size. Since I was shopping for "a couple more", this fit the bill.

I couldn't beat the deal on this chambray top. I ordered one just like this from a different store a few days ago. It hasn't even arrived yet. You see my control when it comes to turning down a deal? I guess I'll just see which one fits best and maybe return the other, or keep both. We'll see. I'm hoping one of them is long enough to wear with leggings.

I also tried this gingham shirt on in store and really liked it. It was a little too baggy, but they didn't have the XS in store; luckily they did online.

This is for Carson. I'm starting to plan our Christmas cards. I saw this is store and fell in love. I may have sighed out loud when I realized they didn't have his size. I'm so glad I found it online.

Anyone else hit up the Old Navy 20th Birthday sale?

  2. I love the rockstar jeans! I have 3 pairs, I wear them almost exclusively. I had heard the same thing about them being "mom jeans", but I don't think they are at all. You scored some great stuff! I might need to go shopping now :)

  4. Looks like I need to make a trip to Old Navy! I never shop there because we don't have one close to us. The nearest one is about 35 minutes away! Cute stuff you got. I'm on the search for the perfect jean jacket...every one that I try one feels to stiff and restricting.
