In other news...Finley, My Mom and I went to the Nutcracker Market today. It's a huge indoor shopping event sort of set up like a show/convention with hoards of Christmas decor, gift type stuff, dips, jams, boutique type things, ornaments, accessories, boots, jackets and cute clothes. It was fun. Grandma got Finley the cutest cowgirl boots and outfit. I can't wait for her to wear it all together.
Other than that we are just trying to get over our colds. That's right we both have colds. My Baby Girls first cold :( It's not horrible though. I am worse off than her luckily. She is just congested with a little cough. She had some congestion about two weeks ago and it seemed to go away but then it all came back for the both of us. It sucks. Tonight will be night 5 of the Humidifier going. She seems to have no problem sleeping and is not uncomfortable. I on the other hand am miserable at night. Daytime isn't as bad because I am upright so the congestion stays at bay. I really wish this crap would hurry and run it's course. We spent all of Friday in bed and I even left work early on Saturday ( I was determined to not call in) to nurse my cold.
Here is my Girl in bed with Mama wearing her cozy sleeper on our lazy Friday.
and then her with her very first cup that I got last week, drinking some water. She actually knew to pull it to her mouth and drink just from having bottles of pumped milk the two days a week that I go to work. It's mainly just for learning and getting used to cups. We don't let her drink a ton of water because we don't want her to fill up and not want as much milk since she's already a little peanut.
Oh oh oh. I almost forgot! Updating to the previous feeding post: we tried avocado (her second food) yesterday at Grandma and Grandpa's house and it went better than the bananas. Still not getting much down but a little is better than next to nothing being swallowed which was the case with the banana feedings. Baby steps :) Next...Green beans.
